What You Need
✔ Shaving soap bar
✔ Shaving brush
✔ Shaving bowl or mug (optional)
✔ Warm water
✔ Razor
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Prep Your Face & Tools
- Splash warm water on your face or use a warm towel to soften the hair.
- Soak your shaving brush in warm water for about a minute to soften the bristles.
2. Load the Brush
- Drain excess water from the brush, but keep it slightly damp.
- Swirl the brush on the shaving soap in circular motions for 20-30 seconds until it picks up enough soap.
3. Build the Lather
Option 1: Face Lathering
- Apply the brush directly to your face in circular motions to build the lather.
Option 2: Bowl Lathering
- Transfer the soap-loaded brush to a bowl and swirl it while adding small amounts of water until you get a thick, creamy lather.
4. Apply & Shave
- Spread the lather evenly over your face using the brush.
- Shave in short, gentle strokes with a sharp razor, going with the grain first to reduce irritation.
5. Rinse & Aftercare
- Rinse your face with cold water to close the pores.
- Apply a soothing aftershave balm or moisturiser.
- Rinse the brush thoroughly and let it air dry.
